If you have surgery booked with Dr Lamont, you will be sent an email with all of the details required for your admission
COVID / Influenza Precautions
If you have new symptoms of fever, cough, breathlessness, headache or sore throat; or you have been in contact with someone with COVID in the last 7 days you should contact the hospital before coming in.
If you develop COVID-19 or influenza your surgery may have to be postponed

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MEDICATIONS THAT NEED TO BE STOPPED OR CHANGED PRIOR TO SURGERY
The following medications need to be stopped prior to your surgery. You will be given instructions specific to your medications.
Anticoagulation (Blood thinners): Apixaban (Eliquis), Rivaroxaban (Xarelto), Clexane, Fragmin, Warfarin (Coumardin, Marevan)
Wieght loss / Diabetes: Ozempic
Diabetes medications:
Stop at least 3 days prior to your surgery. You will have to see the doctor that manages your diabetes to arrange stopping these medications. You doctor may need to organise a suitable substitute medication to treat your diabetes over this time. The affected medications are:
Jardiance (Empagliflozin)
Jardiamet (Empagliflozin and Metformin)
Forxiga (Dapagliflozin)
Glyxambi (Empaglifozin and Linagliptin)
Xigduo XR (Dapagliflozin and Metformin)
Steglatro (Ertugliflozin)
Segluromet (Ertugliflozin and Metformin)
Steglujan (Ertagliflocin and Sitagliptin)
If you are on Metformin without the combination of the other medication, you can continue your metformin.
